Acudetox is approved by the NM State Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and this National Acupuncture Detoxification Association course contributes to the qualifications necessary to provide ear acudetox to treat addictions. Part I includes 30 didactic hours of education and a practicum. Part II includes 40 patient/hours of directly supervised treatments. Part I may be done separately from Part II, but both are needed to become NM State certified as an Auricular Detoxification Sprecialist, and or to receive a NADA certificate of completion, and become registered as an ADS with NADA. This course is approved for 32 California Acupuncture Board CEU’s.
The trainers include Eleni Fredlund, MS, LMHC, EMT-I, and NADA registered trainer, and Nityamo Lian, MPH, DOM. Nityamo is the founder and director of the non-profit Public Health Acupuncture of NM which provides more than 8000 acudetox treatments and more than 6000 affordable community acupuncture treatments per year.
