This 4-day comprehensive course includes didactic training, in-class practicum and clinical training.
The use of acupuncture in the field of mental health, addictions, recovery and medical settings is of growing interest especially with the opioid crisis raging. Trainees are expected to attend at least one 12-step type meeting, such as AA, NA, or Alanon.
This nationally and internationally recognized NADA training will be provided by Phyllis Spears, MS, RN, RT. She has worked in the field of Acudetox since 1998 and has worked as a trainer since 2000. Arlo Starr, DOM, RT. is a licensed doctor of oriental medicine, co-director of the Native Acupuncture Project and also a registered trainer.
