This four-day training is Part One of the acudetox training leading to NM certification. By NM law, certified ADSes may only practice within a board-approved substance use treatment, prevention or harm reduction program with supervision by a NM licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine at least every 6 weeks in the first year, followed by an annual visit in subsequent years. You will learn skills to help your community heal from symptoms of substance misuse such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and cravings. The didactic and practicum portion of Part I will include OSHA regulations, Clean Needle Technique, administering the five points of the NADA protocol, Oriental medicine and NADA protocol, acudetox research, program implementation, resources, NM laws and rules, and essential forms.  

Part Two of the training includes a 40-patient internship which can be scheduled either immediately after the classroom training or sometime within one year. If you already have a supervisor, you do not need to pay the $300 training supervision.

30 California Acupuncture CEU’s available if requested.

Training Part I : $525. Includes didactic, practicum, materials fee, manual, insurance and NADA membership for 1 year.
Training Part II: $300. Supervised Internship (optional).
