NADA is looking for volunteers for the conference. A Conference registration discount of $170 will apply if you would like to volunteer with us.
Volunteer groups will have one or two NADA staff as the team leads. Each team lead will be in touch with their volunteers ahead of the meeting, and we will have a volunteer meeting in Austin on Wednesday, March 20 from 7-9pm, location TBD.
Media &Technology | 3 volunteers needed
We are looking for volunteers who have skills in film and photography and would be able to bring their own camera to the meeting. You may be asked to assist with production of the Registered Trainer webinar on March 21, photography of the meeting on March 22-23, live FB streaming, and filming of particular segments of the meeting. Experience with audio/visual equipment a must.
Registration | 2 volunteers needed (Filled)
As a volunteer, you will be responsible to get people checked in at the opening reception on the evening of March 21, at the two conference mornings, March 22 and 23. The check-in process will also include registering people for the meeting and making sure that they receive all meeting-related materials. Being friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the conference program are needed skills for this role.
Continuing Education | 2 volunteers needed (Filled)
NADA provides continuing education credits to attendees for all the different events that take place during this week of activities. You will help to ensure that meeting attendees are signed in at the beginning of each of the meeting days and turning in all of the relevant CEU paperwork at the end of the meeting so that they can receive a certificate of attendance post meeting.
Transportation Support | 2 volunteers needed
This volunteer role mostly takes place before the meeting has happened. This volunteer will help to provide information about local transportation options to meeting attendees who are hoping to avoid getting a rental car. This role will also include managing a social media platform to coordinate distance carpooling for people trying to maximize their travel dollars.
Merchandise | 2 volunteers needed (Filled)
In this role you will assist in sales and keeping track of inventory of merchandise being sold at the meeting. This includes NADA literature, t-shirts, and other fun collectibles. Ability to be pay attention to detail and think quick under pressure while being friendly and engaging with meeting attendees is a must for this volunteer role.
Public Relations | 2 volunteers needed (Filled)
This volunteer role will mostly take place prior to the start of the meeting. We are looking for volunteers who know how to navigate print, TV, radio and social media and can write-up and send out press releases about the conference events to attract press coverage. This volunteer may also assist the office in developing a conference press kit.
Outreach | 9 volunteers needed (5 different states)
We are asking volunteers from Texas and all its bordering states (New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana) to help us spread the word about this conference. This includes contacting social service organizations, programs and agencies as well as individuals. This volunteer role has an incentive built into it – there will be additional discounts provided for each person that registers for the conference as a result of the volunteer’s outreach efforts. In order to qualify for this volunteer job, you must reside in the state in which you will be doing outreach.
