The purpose of this training is to offer an opportunity for healthcare disciplines authorized within their scope of practice in Colorado to become competent in the provision of NADA 5-point ear acupuncture. This includes registered nurses, physicians, acupuncturists, licensed psychologists, licensed social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed addiction counselors, licensed professional counselors, certified addiction counselor IIIs, and Registered Psychotherapists. The three-day training (9am to 5pm) will be held Friday—Sunday December 14-16, 2018 at Dorcy Cancer Center Conference Room, St. Mary Corwin Hospital. A total of 70 hours of training, clinical practice, meetings and homework are required in order to attain a certificate from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA).

The cost will be $400 for the training. This includes the application fee to the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) for the certificate. Included in the application fee is one year membership in NADA. Applications must be submitted to Libby Stuyt, MD. The training will be limited to 20 participants so register early.

Benefits of the NADA Protocol include: reduced cravings for alcohol and drugs, including nicotine; minimization of withdrawal symptoms; increased calmness, better sleep and less agitation; relief from stress and emotional trauma; discovery of inner quiet and strength; easier connection with counseling; and an intention for recovery.
