May 2021 Membership Café: Celebrating Women in NADA

View the Recording

About the Event

Together we learned about the first peer-based recovery program for pregnant and parenting women at Lincoln Recovery Center called SISTERS, active in the mid-1990s. We also heard about NADA services that ran at the Denver jail from 1993-2001 for incarcerated women, modeled on the NY-based SISTERS program. And a representative from Canoe Journey Herbalists shared about their current work with the NADA protocol in the coastal Salish culture in Washington and Oregon.

Email Taneha Watts, membership coordinator, with questions at membership@acudetox.com.
